December 2007 – Christmas Party Fundraising

A total of £105 was raised for Hope House Hospice from the Elite Dance and Fitness Christmas Party. Thank you to all of you who supported the event.

November 2007 – Exam Success

Congratulations to all pupils who passes their exams in November. Over 40 children undertook Grade examinations in Ballet, Tap and Modern Jazz with 100% pass rate and a number of children receiving the highest classification of all, Honours. Congratulations to all who took part!

August 2007 - Eisteddfod Performance

Elite Dance and Fitness were thrilled to be asked to perform at the National Eisteddfod in Mold in August. A small number of dancers performed a selection of dances to full capacity theatre and received a wonderful reception from the Eisteddfod audience.

July 2007 – World Champion

Emma Knox successfully tutored teenage Tae Kwon-Do expert Emma Wakley to become World Champion. The pair worked together for 6 months, using Emma Knox’s choreography skills and Emma Wakley’s Tae Kwon-Do expertise to create a World Championship winning Musical Pattern routine.

April 2007
From 12th – 14th April 2007, Elite Dance and Fitness presented its very first dance production at the Elfed High School in Buckley. With over 100 dancers performing every night, ‘The Rhythm of Life’ was a resounding success. Sincere thanks go to everyone who supported the event.

January 2007 -Happy 1st Birthday
Elite Dance and Fitness celebrates its 1st Birthday in January 2007, having opened on 3rd January 2006. In its 1st year, hundreds of men and women have attended fitness classes with over 100 children attending each week to train in their chosen dance subject.

December 2006 - Presentation Day


Over 100 children and adults performed in the 1st ever Elite Dance and Fitness Presentation Day. The event, which was held at the Elfed High School, was a resounding success with parents and relatives being entertained by 15 performances, followed by a medal presentation and Christmas Party. Congratulations to everyone involved with the day.

May 2005 - Sponsored Aerobathon


Over 30 paticipants took part in a sponsored aerobathon in aid of Macmillan Cancer Relief, held at the Argoed High School in Mynydd Isa. By collecting sponsorship money for the 3 hour event and purchasing raffle tickets, the event raised £2300.

Congratulations to all who took part and thank you to everyone who supported the event.

News - 2006

October 2006 - Exam Session

Over 60 children completed their first exam session at Elite
Dance and Fitness, with 100% pass rate. Exams were
completed in ballet, tap and modern jazz and children ranged in age from 3 - 13. Congratulations to everyone who took part.

September 2006 - Sponsored Aerobathon


Over 40 women completed 3 hours of exercise at the 2006
Elite Sponsored Aerobathon. The event was held at Mold
Sports Centre with all proceeds going towards The Special
Care Baby Unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital, Cancer
Research UK and Hope House. The current total is £2800
which is a fantastic achievement. Well done to everyone
involved.

 

Aerobathon

The next sponsored Aerobathon will take place on Sunday 11th May at Mold Sports Centre. The 3 hour event will incorporate sessions of circuit training, aerobics, dance fit, urban funk and supple strength with all proceeds being split evenly between Macmillan Cancer Support, British Heart Foundation and NSPCC. If you would like to take part, please contact us to receive your sponsor form.

Festival success

Congratulations to Lauren Brown, Hannah Riley, Georgia Chadwick, Zoe Coles, Rachel Pritchard and Danielle Pritchard who recently took part in the Wrexham Dance Festival. It was the first time that we had entered a competition and we were thrilled to win a selection of medals on our first attempt. Particular congratulations go to Danielle who won her Modern section.
